Singer/Songwriter Series at the Burren Pub |

I inherited the Burren's Sunday Night Singer-Songwriter Series in January 2000 from my friend Michael Hayes, who is now in the group Lemonpeeler.
Between then and January 2002, I had the privilege of playing with folks like Michael, Vanessa Trien, Peter Mulvey, Nate Borofsky, Alastair Moock and many other friends and wonderful musicians. In the beginning, attendance was a bit sparse (hey, Sunday nights - what can you do?). However, by the end of December 2001 the Series had collected quite a regular and supportive audience. Because of the feeling of community inspired by this intimate series, I was also fortunate to put together successful benefit shows for the Somerville Charter School, Mikey Dee and The 9-11 FireFighters Disaster Relief fund. I want to express my thanks in great part to our sponsorship by The Music Emporium in Lexington, MA, Zsid and the folks at www.radioboston.com, and Scott Alarik, who wrote a great article about the Series in the Boston Globe (I'll put it up here one day, I promise!). I believe that the support from these organizations and people exemplify the meaning of community.
I decided to turn the Series over to a new host at the start of 2002 in order for someone else to experience how great of an event it truly is. So, my good friend Danielle Miraglia is now hosting the Sunday Night Singer/Songwriter Series at the Burren Pub, 247 Elm Street, Davis Square, Somerville, MA. For more information,
